to gut cats or not ? on 96-97

Should i gut the cats on my 96 ? does it hurt any thing , gas mileage,
computer , ect ? how have some of u guted your cats on your 96-97 camaros ? do o2 sims go on both o2 sensors ?

Gutting your cats will gain you no or next to no power. The open cats will cause turbulance hurting power. You might as well go all the way and install LT headers, you will see a much greater gain.

you probably won't see much of a gain other than noise.

if you do, O2 sims go on both rear sensors, and you will have no problems with the SES light. even if you don't do sims and deal with the light...the car will not run any different.
