There're quite a few, actually. Robinson, Mt. Carmel, and Vincennes all have some representation on here.

I've actually turned down two offers for $1500 since I want to see if this will fix the problem. The only reason why I'm doing this is so I can sell the car for $2100-$2400.

How many miles are on the car? That's a low price IMO.

Re: Got Trounced by a 6 Cyl.

Didn't fix the problem. If I'd have had my camera then, I would have taken pics. The car is for sale but I can't take less than $2000 for it. I'll let it rot in my woods if I cant get $2000 for it.

I'm not answering any questions about the car at this time. I get too many to keep up on here (about three a day on LS1 tech). When it's for sale, all will be told.

This car will not spin the tires below 2500. I don't think it's the clutch because if the clutch grabbed hard, the car would just bog down. 2000 RPM clutch dumps will not spin the tires. Put it in 6th and the car shakes like a ****. I wish a magic fairy would just tell me what the **** is wrong with the god damn car. All I want to do is sell it, but I have this desire like no other to know why, why, why, this mother ****er has no god damn low end power.

She started up with the slightest touch of the key. Sounded bad ***. Runs so well up high.

WHY?

Re: Got Trounced by a 6 Cyl.

So, the guy who bought the car off me said he took it to one of the people who scanned it for me, except for this time, the car threw MAF and EGR codes...

Only thing done different was I replaced the intake elbow, which was split around the throttle body, allowing unmetered air to bypass the MAF.

He told me I could drive it after he got it fixed to see if it was back to normal.

I'll keep you all informed.

Re: Got Trounced by a 6 Cyl.

replacing the opti might have really helped.. especially since you bought it already but never installed it...

Wow. Old post.

I did install the Opti.

Found out what it was after the guy bought the car and put the engine in his car: exhaust leaks. That was it.

More than a year later I can laugh about it.

EDIT: More than two years.
