So my new neighbor came over yesterday and said "hey do you want this car stereo battery i have? I dont have a use for it and I figured a car guy would appreciate it." so I figured he was talking about a ~1 farad cap to plug inline with your amps.. So I told him I dont have a sound system anymore but sure I'd like to have it. So he comes back carying an optima redtop.. He says its in good shape and holds a charge.

Its charging right now I have it on a deep cycle. Is there any way to get these things to hold a charge better if it doesnt do well or are some just screwed?

 

its a free battery what do you care......if it holds a charge...rock on, but if it happens to be dead and doesent hold a charge, not much that can b done

 

I wish my neighbor would drop a 130.00 battery in my hands.
