i just bidded and won this SLP cold air intake off ebay.. this is the one they made before the bvlack ones and is chrome... can someone look at it and tell me if its good or not? i was hoping someone was going to outbid me but i guess im stuck with it now... is this a good one and are the SLP filters reusable and cleanable?

I'd say so it looks pretty new and you saved like 54 bucks. I was actually looking at it myself, but I really want to do my engine bay all black.

 

well hopefully it works out good and it fits.. it sounds like he migthve messed it up a little bit... hopefully it works good too.. how often should i clean them, and are the SLP intakes good ones? is two tubes better than one big one...

edit. .. . also.. he says he doesnt have the plastic panel like they show on the website that goes with it.. i was wondering what the plastic panel is needed for.. and if i should look into getting one for it

 

I had a friend that tried different intakes on LT1's and he checked how they flowed with his laptop he said that the SLP intakes are one of the better ones. It's what I'm going to get.

 

I assume he checked them by reading the air flow of the MAF but i highly doubt he could see a real difference. The MAF doesn't ever seem very consistant.
