GM 847 is installed!!!
Just finished up the cam swap a couple hours ago and did a little test driving. It sounds awesome and is running pretty well. Only a couple issues at the moment.
1. Vac canister is necessary. I can stop once driving a little, but by the end of a 3 point turn, the brakes are shot...
2. My idle is acting up a bit. If I put it in gear and hold the brake or when slowing to a stop, the rpms dive down around 400-500 and it just about dies till you tap the gas. I was told to adjust the screw on the thottle blade to allow a little more air in so it'll idle up around 1000rpms instead of 600-700 like it is now...
Other than that, all is goin well. I put in all new wires on the passenger side (one broke when pullin a header), and new plugs all around. I couldn't get NGK's so I had to settle for Autolite 104's gapped at .040". I know they aren't AS good, but they work with nitrous, so they will have to do for now...
I haven't really had it above 3500rpms yet, cause I'm working on breaking everything in a little with some heat cycles, so I don't really know how much I've gained as of yet. I have called it a night for today, but tomorrow I'll get the vac canister in, and the air damn back on. Hopefully I'll also be able to adjust the idle some to get it just right and then I'll go get on it a bit and get some datamaster logs...
I'm pretty happy bout the outcome so far. I'll try to get a sound clip vid posted up for you guys by tommorrow...
Thanks for readin...

yeah guys, I tried puttin a PCMForLess tune on it. I think something is acting up with my laptop/cable for the programming. Bryan and I are working on that. I put the canister in and it helped teh brakes a lot even if it wasn't necessary...
Has anyone else ever had an issue where when you programmed the car with a PCMForLess tune it messed up other variables, namely the speedo (for gearing), etc when they weren't even being modified???
Before when I did my gear swap, Bryan sent me a number of programs. I would put them on the car and the speedo would not recalibrate. Finally I sent one down there and had Bryan flash it. It came back, I popped it in the car and all worked great. Now I had the cam program, loaded it to the car, and the speedometer is messed up again!!!
I am going to try a couple of different things, but if I can't figure it out I'm just going to ship the PCM out to Bryan on Monday so he can flash it...
