i have a 95 z28. the oil gets real black and dirty after like 1000 miles. i use mobil 1 5w30 and the mobil 1 oil filter. is it normal for it to get black fast?

 

I find that synthetic oil gets dark faster than dyno oil.

 

Yes it is normal and good that it turns black. Todays Synthetic oil has detergent additives in it. A good oil cleans the inside of the engine this way. If the oil gets black like that you know its doing its job.
