Gage illumination

I have 97 z28. Recently my instrument cluster decided it doesn't want to illuminate anymore. The headlights and running lights work when you turn the headlight switch on but the gages and the odometer do not illuminate. I checked the fuse and the fuse for the gages is good. I started the car and checked to make sure the gages do function properly. I cycled the key and noticed the odometer display does show a couple red indicators as if the cluster does have proper power going to it. But i can not get the gages to light up or the odometer to read mileage. Has anyone run into this before? Thanks

No it checked that too. The dimmer switch does not affect the illumination of the gages. Or at least the dimmer switch does work properly for turning the dome light on like it's suppose to, but doesn't adjust the brightness for the gages. Gages are all dark. And the odometer doesn't turn on with adjusting the dimmer.

Did you check the 3 fuses??????? I/P #7,9,16. 16 is the dimmer fuse. That ones got to be bad.
