Re: G92 in Z28 93 ???

The base V8 A4 cars came with 2.73 rear axle ratio, and it was not possible to select "1" on the shifter. I think the speedo only went to 115mph. The performance rear axle ratio got you 3.23 gears, the ability to selct 1st gear and the 155mph speedo.

There should be a "build tag" on the end of the drivers door, or in the glove box. It would have "G92" on the tag, with all the other options installed on the car.

Mine started as a base. I changed the cluster, center console, and rear gears. Was there anything else in that package that would make mine different from the g92?
