Fuel gauge
Fuel gauge
I replaced my pump with a walbro 255 while building my 383 setup and have it running and driving now but the fuel gauge pegged itself past the full mark and just stays there, what can i do to reset this/ fix it? Did taking it out screw with the sending unit?
Re: Fuel gauge
It sounds like the floater arm got caught up when you put the assembly back in. It's a common problem. I'd pull it back out and re-install it making sure the floater arm is free of any hoses and other things. Hopefully you did the "cut a hole" method, or you're not going to be too happy.
Re: Fuel gauge
I hope thats all it is if anybody has any other ideas let me know. Ya i cut the hole but only after atempting to drop the tank with the rear end in the car so that didnt work and have to get my exhaust all welded back where i cut it twice haha.
