fuel economy

I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this question...but here it goes. My husband drives our z28 126 miles round trip to work 5 days a week. What can I do to get better gas milage? I used to use Royal Purple in my gas truck and loved the results...can I put that in my car? I change the oil in the vehicles so I would love some imput on how to get better gas milage. Thanks

good oil will help, but in all honesty, and name brand oil....changed on a regular basis...will keep fuel economy high.

anything to boost the efficiency of the engine will increase gas mileage.

basically...easier air in....easier exhaust out

cold air kit
exhaust

i installed a good air intake system on my gf's 4.0L Jeep and we picked up a conssistent 1.5-2mpg in gas mileage just from that. and that was both city and highway.

along with the above....

keep the car maintained
take out any excess weight
inflate tires to proper PSI
leave the lead foot at home

oh...and do some testing as to what octane gas gets the best economy.

high octane may cost more, but it could also boost MPG by enough to out-weigh the cost.
