Fuel Cap
Fuel Cap
When I bought my 94 Trans Am, my fuel cap was broken so it doesn't seal. Is that bad? Just wondering if my fuel is evaporating or something. I know it eats alot, and needs plenty of new parts. But every other car I see gives off a hiss when they go to open their cap and mines always open.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

the only vehicles that test the evaporative emmisioons system are obd2 equipted(or higher)

If the cap doesn't pass the test you fail. If it's suppose to seal it better seal. I have a locking type cap on mine, and I have to stick the stocker on for testing, because they did not come from the factory with a locking cap (even if it works)they will fail you. It's Dumb, but that's California.
