Foil Tape (the kind on the low oil sensor on LT1s)

I've been trying to locate some of this for a while now to keep some wires from burning as I wrap up my LT header install. Well, I went to the dealer where I know the parts guy. The part number for the roll is 10184916, it's a fairly decent sized roll. He said just bring me back what you don't need. So I looked up the price for a roll once I got home........LIST is $130.98, wholesale is around $90. Was going to buy a roll for myself to just keep around.....but forget that!

EDIT: After further research, the stuff is actually Polyken 342.....resistant to temperatures of 347 degrees farenheit.

I've had success using the duct work adhesive backed foil tape they sell at Home Depot and Lowes, not sure with the temp rating is though.

I believe it's 500. I was actually wanting something in the 650-750 range, just to be on the safe side.

Taylor wire makes a good product. Summit sells it for about $30. Looks just like the OEM tape on the harness.

Have you checked your local parts store? Oreilly's has "cool tape" that's pretty good for like $8 more or less.
