Fog Light Mod

Ok I just sent an hour trying to figure this mod out. I took a peice of telephone wire and stuck down in the relay hole and stuck the relay on top of it and than grounded that wire, to see if it worked. And it did but it was such a little wire it got hot very quickly. So i just a bigger wire. When i did that the dim and fog lights worked fine but when i swich to brights the fog lights worked but the bright lights flickered on and off. So i thought it may be the bigger wire wasn't going down in teh relay hole far enough so i striped the wire and hooked it right to the wire and grounded it, i didn't completely cut the wire just sliced into it. And it did the same thing flickered on and off. Whats the problem?

Hey Bud!

1) You need to wait a little longer than you did for an answer. Usually about 1 day before you "TTT" it please.

2) Wrong forum. This is for LT1 Engine tech. I'll move it to the General Tech forum for ya.

Uh, I did the mod and cut the green wire going to the relay and then grounded the relay side of the wire. The other cut end gets capped. It sounds like your shorting something out.
