Flashers dont work

well the **** doesnt do anything but click when i pull it down or push it up...

the last few months its been inconsistantly having a "hyper blinker" and recently it just stoped working all together...

what is the suspected problem how much would the problem peice cost and how long might it take a first timer?

It can be something simple as a bad flasher relay located under the dash. How about your hazard light's do they work?

Look for the flasher relay under the dash. if they relay is touching some sort of metal of the car it'll be grounded out. that relay can't touch any other metal. If the relay was toast then you could turn the blinker on and the arrow would go on solid in the dash.

What I did was swap relay's from the hazards to the flasher out. To see if it's a bad flasher relay. If so you can fine another relay for like $10 at any part store.

What I was saying was switch the relay from the hazard over to the flasher. Both relays are alike, by switching them if the flasher start to work then you know the relay was bad on the flasher. If you can find shoebox web page it will have pics of the relay location to aid you.

well shoebox's picture is pretty general, is there a better pic specifically for the flasher check?
