Where do you mount exhaust cutouts, is it before the catalitic converter or between it and the muffler?

 

Anywhere they fit. Except that you don't mount them on V6 cars.

 

i put mine right before the axle which i think is the place where most people put theres..

 

mine is connected about 4" after the Y intersection on my y-pipe, although I never use it.

 

on a v6, you mount it after the muffler.....

 

You wanna put it right underneath the rear passenger side seat. And I really hope its a an eight.

 

i've seen a cut out on a 3800 grand prix...so i dont see a problem with this guy doing it on his v6 camaro lol

 

Although you'll get a strange and peculiar sound out of a V6 with open exhaust.........I would say put it right before the muffler on the 90degree peice of pipe about to enter it.

 

Cut-outs are a really common mod for gtps as far as ive seen, Check out gtp forums and most eveyryone gets a cut out and a pulley as first mods. Put it inplace of your cat, that what im gonna do, since mine are gutted and make a different sound.
