What model trucks came stock with an Lt1? Or were there any?

 

I believe none. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but they used the Vortec based more off the old Gen 1 350 until they started using the 4.8 and 5.3 L LSx based platform. Never put an LT1 into a truck, although I've seen a Tahoe with one stuffed in there and it was a fun truck!... It was not factory though. LOL.

 

I am not aware of any trucks that came from the factory with the LT1.

I thought that the Vortec heads were among the "latest and greatest" SBC heads that GM built (that is, until they came out with the LS1/Gen-III's) ... but I thought they were very comparible with the LT1 heads, in terms of ports, chambers, etc? (although I don't think the truck engines ever went to reverse cooling like the LT1's had).

Heck, they even make aftermarket carb manifolds for Gen-I SBC's so you can bolt on a set of Vortec heads, they were supposed to be that good?
