Engine Rebuild Parts?
Engine Rebuild Parts?
I am going to start rebuilding my buddy's 3.4 '95 camaro. I have rebuilt one engine in the past for school and used Northern Auto Parts for the master rebuild kit. I didnt have any problems with it and that engine is still running. Are their parts quailty? Or can you recommend somewhere else. Thanks in advance for the info.
Why bother?
I'd just call the local salvage yard... See if they will deliver a motor to your door from a low mile wreck. The 3.4 should not be hard to find.
Several years ago the quad 4 in my Oldsmobile threw a rod. A phone call, 1 day and $500 later I had a 58,000 mile quad 4 from the salavage yard sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. No problem!

who knows how a junkyard engine will run. The car already has had one of those with supposedly only 40k on the motor and is pretty much done now. i would rather rebuild it and know what i have. Any engine builders have any suggestions with the parts? thanks
