electrical problem...courtesy lights

ok so when i bought my car the ppl that had it b4 me didnt have the courtesy fuse in...so instantly i knew the solution to fixing my courtesy lights for when i open the car doors...so i put the 20A fuse in like i should and they work...imagine that...only problem is that when i turn the car off, close the doors, turn the switches for the lights on the mirrors, etc....the lights NEVER turn off lol...anyone wanna tackle this problem and let me know...i have a feeling it has something to do with the ground for it but have no idea where to even begin to look...

Possibly a relay has shorted and stays on. I do not know where the relays are for the courtesy lights specifically, but most of them are under the dash/by the steering column. Check those first.

Maybe that's why the fuse wasn't in there originally
