I searched but couldnt find anything. Ive got a 93z with sucky electric windows. Did any z28's come with manual windows or were elctric windows standard in z's? If I did want manuals instead of electric Id have to have a door off of another car with manual windows? thanks

 

I've converted mine to manual windows. Your door now is set up to have either manual or power, you just need to swap in the manual window assembly. It's pretty simple, the hard part is finding the parts you need. I got mine from someone that was parting out their car so I'm not sure where else you can find the parts. It's probably the best mod I've done, works perfectly and actually seals better now than before when I had power windows. I'd always have a little leak when it rained.

 

Thanks for the info,, do you know if any z's came from the factory with manual windows? not that it really matters, id just like to know.

 

1995 1LE cars are manual windows from the factory.

 

I think if you don't order the main option package that gives you power locks, seats, mirrors etc. you get the manual windows. I'm not sure on that, but I rode in a 2000 V6 camaro that had manual windows this past weekend. Just have to get lucky and find someone that you can get them from.
