Electric window install directions

I know I've seen a link for instructions here before, but I can not find them now. I purchased a manual, but it isn't very good. I guess I should have printed them for my files.
I'm getting ready to replace the left motor and reg assy, and I figured it might be a good idea to have a printed copy.
Thanks,
Harleydude

Hard to answer without knowing anything about the car - year, model, etc. Let's guess its a 4th Gen, and give you the link to Shoebox's site:

http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

Why not add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods?

Re: Electric window install directions

Injuneer, Thanks for the info, it is 4th generation 2000 Z28. Now I guess I have no more excuses not to start on it.
And as soon as this old fart can figure out how to add a Signature I sure will, it's just that it's bone stock. Even the ugly wheels.

Go to "User CP" on the red task bar at the top of the page and left click.

On the drop down, left click on "Edit Signature".

Type the info in the box that appears.

Click "Save Signature".

Thumbs up Re: Electric window install directions

Thanks for the help. It took me alot longer than I thought, but it's done and it works.
Just a note for anyone who might read this, I replaced the reg and motor. I bought them on Ebay. Hope it lasts! It did not come with bolts for after you drill out the four rivets on the regulator. Getting new bolts in can be a pain, so I used some 1/4-20 u-nuts and clipped them over the holes on the reg where the rivets would go. A little lock- tight on the bolts and bingo. Just make sure you put the u-nuts on before you install the new regulator, much easier DAH. Good thing I wasn't paid flat rate, I'd starve.
Thanks again Injuneer,

For next time, and there will be a next time. No need to buy the regulator. Motor is cheaper, and usually comes with the bolts.
