Electric Power Steering Pump Conversion

Anyone tried it? My alternator would be the only thing left running off the crank as I have deleted the AC and added an electric water pump. They can be found in MR2s, some Subarus, and I think I saw in the RX8s.

I want to relocate the alternator and keep the PS without any problems is the thing though. I think this would especially be a good idea for a turbo setup where you would need as much room in the bay as possible.

I didn't know they offered an electric power steering pump for the LT1, do you have any more details or a link?

It wasn't offered as standard equipment. I'm trying to see if anyone is familiar with the idea and if they think the costs outweigh the benefits.

From what I remember reading about the systems last night, the S2000 uses an all electric rack that was first found on the NSX's. I think its similar to the electric steering thats showing up in more late model stuff, including impala's and cobalt's.

if it doesen't have to be electric...you just want to move it. the late model circle track cars use that same type pump and its a mid mount drivers side system. Moroso may even make the brakets, and you need to make up some lines and a new res.
