from what i've heard, there are NO ill effects of removing the EGR provisions, besides the SES light. and that can be programed out.

i have it done on my car and it really cleans up the passenger side of the engine bay.

soon as i get the AIR block off plates, i'm gonna remove all that crap too...then get it programmed

EGR reduces the risk of detonation, it controls temperatures in the combustion chamber. Without it you will see no gains, you will most likely fail emissions and remove a few things under the hood. I still did it though.

For me it just provided smoother idle/running and a lot cleaner passenger side under the hood.

How do you get around the emissions test with the block off if you say you won't pass emissions when it comes time to get the test?

My EGR tube going to the headers has a leak in it and won't connect correctly to the header. So i'm thinking I should just get the block off plate instead of paying alot more money to get it fixed. how would I get around emissions?

Did you guys notice a decrease in gas mileage with EGR and AIR removed?
