Dynatech Exhaust Clamps

I must have spent $120 on exhaust clamps in the past year trying to get something to seal right. I ordered these dynatech ones from summit and couldn't figure out what the parts on the right were for. Anyone here ever use these and know what they are for?

The little tab that they have the bolt stuck into on the blister pack gets welded to your collector. The clamp goes on the pipe you are attempting to connect to the collector, and the bolt holds them together. Sort of a quick disconnect feature. I bought those for some Dynatech 90-deg turndowns with noise reduction cones, that I wanted to be able to swap out with unbaffled turndowns, to try and get the sound level below the 100dB limit at the local track. Seemed easier to use a simple band clamp, so I never tried the Dynatech clamps.
