Drivers Side Window

It'll go down fine when I start the car, but when I go to close the window, it'll get stuck somewhere, pretty much wherever it damn well pleases. If I wait like a minute or so, then try, if i'm lucky... it'll finish the job, if not, I have to wait another minute or so. You think its the motor? I took apart that little console thing and the wires seem to be tight... god damn it!!

yeah, it should be the motor if it stops, and then will function normally after a little while. What happens is the the motor overheats and causes it to turn off, then when it cools back down it works normally again.

most auto parts stores carry them for about $50 give or take and come with a lifetime warranty.

Is the motor the little box thing attached to the bottom of it? Is it hard to replace?

the moter dosen't look exactly like a box. It's kind of flat silver or black with a little gear attached to it. And don't use the lords name in vain, he loves you and it's disrespectfull.

I think you brought God into this with your first post. I am sure bdc95ta would not have brought it up, if you had not done so, first.

Look on my page for window motor help.

replace the motor... i had the same problem that you have now and its the motor dying... i did mine my self with some help from shoebox's help page .. its a great place to start at.

jusssst make sure that if you have to drill any hole into that door to wear something that protects ur hands ... cuz the stuff (fiber plastic?) that comes out of the holes u will drill are so tiny they will go right into ur hand's skin and it will be scratching like a @$#@%#$ for at least a week.

After the door panel is off, 1993-2002 are all the same.

How long does this usually take? I think I might try this myself, but i'm very nervous about it... i'd hate to break something. Especially since i'll need to be drilling, that doesn't help my motivation to much... :-/

You drill out three rivets, and you put in three bolts that come with the motor in their place......minus a bit for carefully moving around in there, and trying not to rip the plastic and destroy the door, then its an easy job. Its the motor, for sure, 100%.

Unless you have an issue like in my Formula where the roller posts are beat and the rollers get cocked in the guides...
