Door and window questions....
Door and window questions....
Alright, well I've had a fair amount of leaking all around where the window meets the weatherstripping, and tommorow I'm going to adjust it by using Shoebox's guide, but had a few questions.
1) The body shop told me that my "doors were shot". Only reason I believe this is that the window will fall about 1/4 of the way when rolling it down. They said something about the housing for the window motor being cut through by the motor itself, anyone think this is BS?
2) The body shop also told me they had adjusted my window up and it wouldn't go anymore, but the window still doesn't go up all the way where it's supposed to be. I can clearly see a crack between the window and weatherstripping when sitting inside. Again, are they lying to me? I can pull up the window by hand but it will fall when I shut the door.
Thanks a lot for your advice/opinions guys...

Re: Door and window questions....
Sounds like you need a regulator. I've got a 97 I've parting out. Give me a shout.
What the body shop says is possible, my son had a 95 that had a less severe case of the same problem. When you roll the window down it would go down a few inches and then fall a few inches before rolling down normally. The reguator was pretty worn out and needed replacement.

Forgot to ask about the regulator, but you answered my question, thanks.
Would the regulator have anything to do with the window not rolling all the way up when the switch is used?
