does anyone buy from racenet?
does anyone buy from racenet?
about a week and a half ago i ordered a header gasket and it has still yet to show up but i have been billed for it already... normally if something is backordered the company wont take out the funds until the product is ready to be shipped to me. (from what ive noticed w/ summit and gmparts direct)
meanwhile i ordered some o2 sensors from dal and they came a last thursday ... i ordered the gasket sunday night and the sensors monday morning... and now its wednesday and still no gasket i wanna put these headers on and my ovc wires and engine temperature sensor. but im getting frustrated with this company...
(first time ordering from them)

Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
I use to order from them all the time when they were new and they were great. Always had good prices and shipping was fast. I've heard for about the past year or so someone left and the whole company started to go down hill. I think it's alright to still order from them, just not if you need the part really fast.
Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
I used to buy from them all the time, especially since I only live 20 minutes from them, and was always happy with their service. Then I went down there one time and tried to get some parts from them. One guy told me they didn't have parts but he could get them for me, and I should just call them back in a week. So I call back in a week and the same guy tells me they didn't come in and I should call back in a couple days, which I did. This crap went on non-stop until finally I asked them about it and they gave me some crap about me not filling out a ton of paperwork to special order parts that they said they normally stock!!!! Needless to say they were not at all polite about it, set me back almost a month, and thus will never receive my support again
. I would, however, highly recommend Thunder Racing
. I Ordered my LCA's and PHR near midnight on a wednesday, parts were sitting on my front door that friday morning
. The parts also ended up being cheaper than Racenet, including shipping, thanks to the discounts they offer as a supporting vendor of this site

Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
I ordered from them once.. took 3 weeks and sent the wrong part, and had to fight with them to get the new part/refund my money..
SO many people have had bad experiences with them..

Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
Don't ever buy from them. I ordered something on the phone, they told me it would be sent the next day and everything was in stock. Its been 4 weeks, i call every few days and they are like "it will be sent friday" and its a bunch of bull. Im canceling my order.
Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
Over the past 6 years....I have spent around 12-15k from them! Always had good service in the past. Recently had a bad experience with them and am waiting right now to see what they are going to do to compensate me for their screw up. I will keep you posted. I am not a happy camper right now!!
Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
From what i have found, they stock NOTHING. They have actually sent me to O'Rielly instead of ordering a part from them. They really aren't very big, so a large stock would be impossible.
Basically, they take awhile. I don't know if they are floating money from one thing to another or what, but it seems everything takes awhile. FYI, they are only a 2 full-time person shop, with one helper every now and then.

Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
I have spent about 5k worth of parts from them in the past. I got great service every time I ordered.. This has been a couple years ago so i have no idea if it is the same now.
Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
I believe they used to be called Internet Racer's Supply, but changed their name to Racenet because of customer complaints.
They have good prices but I'd only buy from them if you can't get it somewhere else and can wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.
One time they sent me the wrong parts.
I bought my clear headlight covers from them recently because no one else listed the clear instead of the smoked ones.
Was happy with that transaction.

Re: does anyone buy from racenet?
When I bought my TA it was stock, so the first mod I decided to do was a Moroso CAI. I ordered it from Internet Racer Supply and it took a little over 6 weeks for them to get it to me. I am in San Antonio and they are located in houston. It took them less than 2 minutes to deduct the money from my account when I ordered it though.
Since then I have spent lots of $$$'s with Summit, Jegs, Thunder, and Tbyrne, and have never had any problems with any of them and the cream of the crop of these for me has been Summit.
