Do I have an LS1? Just bought 2001 Z28

Just bought 2001 Z28 Convertible, Sunset Orange Metallic, 44k miles car is cherry. Auto Tranny. Are all 2001 Z28 have LS1 engine? HOw can I tell? Also was told car has 315HP rated but really sports 345HP. Is this true? How can I find out? Was 2001 the last year Camaro was made?

Yes all 98 ~ 02 Z28, SS, Formula, Trans AM, WS6 Camaros and Firebirds have the LS1.
Does it look like this?

Then its an LS1.

The 345 horsepower rating is valid, as the LS1 made much more than 315. This was a way to appease the C5 crowd, and keep insurance rates low. Also, 02 was the last year (So far ).

That is what it looks like. I love this car had it 2 days, and allready spanked my buddys Bullit. A celica gt. The only trouble ive had is with a Subaru STI. Thanks you guys, that was really helpful. Do you know of any type of clubs for z28, ls1 etc, owners in Dallas TX, I could associate with?
