disconnecting speedo on 93 LT1

disconnecting speedo on 93 LT1

i know its not a mechanical speedo so how would i do this? would i just have to not use the whole gauge cluster or what? lol

You could just unplug the vehicle speed sensor connector on the transmission tailhousing couldn't you?

I guess you have quite a few options but the only ones I can think of that would be easy would be to go on the transmission and either take the VSS out of the transmission or cut the wires and tap them up. That may give you a SES, but the other option would be to cut the wire going to the speedometer cluster. I am sure there are better ways, but that is all I can think of right now.

why would you want to and its the dark green with a white strip wire there are two one for the speedo one for cruise control

if you do that you will liekly run into driveablity problems. the VSS is used in fueling strategy

im registering it as a show car and i dont wanna put too many miles on it. can i just cut the wire to stop it?
