On another forum i bought some parts and the guy said he only accepts money orders soo anyways i bought some parts from him and my friend also did too. I bought $430 worth of stuff and my friend bought $160 from him, and its been a few weeks and i haven't recieved anything, he has been writing back to me and my friend hes playing stupid saying that he just left both my friend and my items in a box by his mailbox thinking the mail person would take them and they wern't there when he came home. Soo anyways is there anything i can do ? can i get this scumbag in trouble ??

 

Sounds to me like there might be some fraud involved.

 

yeah do you think i can get him for mail fruad or something ? i would like to get this guy in trouble and stop him from doing this to other people it's plain wrong.

 

Contact your local police. They probably have some kind of internet fraud unit.

Yes, it sounds like you got screwed. Yes, you can take legal action IF you can get a lawyer to represent you... money orders outside of your bank account is usually just "he said she said" as I have learned this myself a few years back.

 

the lawyer probably isn't worth it due to its less than $600. and he can keep playing stupid saying ohh i left the boxes by the mail and i expected the mail person to pick them up.

 

Always use postal money orders.Then,the feds get involved.Good luck.
