Dash Board Light Replaceable?

I noticed that the light behind my tachometer at night is flickering on and off. Are the bulbs serviceable or do I need a whole new gage assembly?

Thanks,

Lightbulb The short answer is yes, IIRC.

I looked, but was unable to find a link that would show pictures - my Haynes does, but as it is at the house ...

At any rate, I believe that it was a matter of pulling the cluster out, and then seperating the plastic gauge coverfrom the gauges.

It seems like then you could access those bulbs.

The good news is that even if I am wrong, that cluster is so frickin' easy to get out - as opposed to say my '91 Suburban - old body style w/ milions of screws holding the instrument panel bezel in place - that it is worth trying.

Of course, I can't seem to find anything that talks about how to remove the thing, either ...

Maybe someone else can chime in.

Good Luck !

Re: The short answer is yes, IIRC.

The bulbs are # 194 (2cp 5000 hrs), or if you want them brighter,# 168 (3cp 2500 hrs)......
