I got that damn no start with the blinking security light for the second time within two years, and I rarely drive it! It was the ignition switch the last time around, but could it be the same thing in such a short period of time? I probably drove it 2000 miles at the most. I'm planning on getting a tune from madz and tuning out the vats, but will this eliminate the problem or is the vats system more complicated than that. Help, need some knowledge on this.

Yeah, it does big time. Thats why I'm wondering if just the tune will shut off the whole vats system or if its more involved than that. I had enough of vats, time to kill it!!!!!!

 

tune it out, and you will need to ground 1 wire for the theft deterant relay

 

You would then have to unplug the VATS module to get rid of the security light.
