Mine's in the pipe under the rear seat before it goes over the axle.

Re: Cutout position?

Right where it looks like it fits perfect. Do a search, you should find more description and probably a few pics. I have some pics in site in sig - might be hard to tell.

Re: Cutout position?

So would it be worth putting a cutout in because I have stock headers and cats because you probably want the cutout before the cats right?

Re: Cutout position?

I have stock headers and cats, just get it installed under the rear seat - doesn't need to be before the cats for a few HP increase, and would take a lot of modification to put two cutouts in before the cats since you're stock. Doesn't cost much putting one under the rear seat.

Re: Cutout position?

What would I be looking at for gains and 1/4 mile time increase?

Re: Cutout position?

Its a worthwhile mod on stock manifolds/ypipe car. It'll probably add around 10rhwp and knock off a tenth in the quarter.

Re: Cutout position?

Not really, but the keyword "around" 10rwhp meaning that you can be a little less or a little more then that figure. Obviously, it is going to vary between different cars and applications.

Re: Cutout position?

Did a dyno open and closed when I had after the cats and it yielded 9.1 hp when open.

Re: Cutout position?

I would like to put one just before the pipe enters the muffler over the rear axle.

Unfortunetly I'm apprehensive about that seeing as how it's soooo close to the plastic fuel tank.

Yes, it will still benefit you and it will sound awesome as well.

Re: Cutout position?

seems like gains before/after are similar from numbers I've seen - if you plan on having it open ALL the time, go after - you'll still see gains, and if you're like me, it's more for the sound anyway
