is a cutout louder.....

than my LM?

I put it on and I honestly don't think it is loud enough. Everyone who said it was too loud must not like loud cars. I had a cammed LT1 with a cutout and headers and that thing was loud, not this...

Will a cutout give me a louder exhaust?

Were you running cats in the LT1? They make a huge difference in sound. My 99 Z28 had Mac headers, no cats and a cutout. It would give old ladies heart attacks if I cracked the throttle when I drove by. My 01 has a cutout but stock cats and it is pretty quiet.

I had cats in my LT1, and the cutout was right after the cat....

I would try to get the cutout before the cat in the LS1, if possible.

I don't think it would be witht he stock setup. LS1s have two cats and the passenger side cat bolts right to the exhaust manifold leaving no room to fit in a cutout.

Do the cutout because it is extremely loud.
