Cruise Control Question
Cruise Control Question
Now that I have fixed my ABS problem
The only thing not working perfectly, for now, is my cruise control. I really didn't want to tackle this problem because of how complicated it is....but is there a way to scan that to narrow it down? Even though it doesnt throw and SES code or anything, will scanning it show anything?
Thanks
Bill

Yea it won't engage anymore. The 3rd brake light was just replaced while trying to solve the abs problem....I know it can be many things such as the clutch or brake pedal switches.... I was just wondering if there was an easy way to narrow it down. It used to work fine, then just didn't one day.
Thanks

The easy things I can think of are:
Check the cable for slack and proper adjustment.
Check the 3 switches at the pedals for proper condition when engaging the cruise.
Check all the connectors having to do with the cruise by disconnecting them, checking for damged or corroded pins and reseating them.
Check to see the cruise control module is getting power and ground on the proper pins.
