creak ?

creak ?

i am not sure what location to put this in so i will start it here. When backing my car in to the garage today i had the door open to line my self up. i here this creaking type noise comming from the left rear any ideas.

Were you going over an off camber slope/bump in the ground?


These cars twist and flex from side to side on uneven ground. Subframe connectors stop this from happening and cure a lot of creaks and rattles in F-Bodies.


There is another common squeak that can come from bushings in really cold weather though.

When its really cold out my makes some really weid noises for about the first 10 min driving

I just drove it up to get somthing to eat and every time i come to a stop. I can hear this creak when i step on the breaks and come to a stop. It also happened when i sat down in the car the other day.

Yeah I have that problem too but I can sometimes hear the squeaking noise when i dont have the breaks applied. I know its coming from the rear of the car but I cant tell if its the wheel or what.

While my car was still under warranty, I had something similar. The problem they found was actually the exhaust hanger. As strange as I found that, it fixed the problem.
