crack in the Y-pipe after 50k miles...

I probably put 50 thousand miles on my SLP headers and loudmouth. I was looking under my car...I noticed that my Y-pipe is cracked right where it meets again comming out of the headers. You think it's all the chicago weather, heat, why the hell is it cracked? I need a new one, there is a naughty leak comming out of it....

go to a muffler shop that does welding and they will probably fix it up for cheap.

What he said. Settling of motor mounts, a bad initial weld, vibration, anything could have caused it. Just have a muffler shop weld the crack,
