i have a 1995 Trans Am and the interior panel that is underneith the steering wheel, right above your knees when driving, that has the trunk release button in it sags down about a half inch at the top. When you take it off, all that is holding mine up there is two little screws and some plastic velcro stuff. When my alarm was installed (previous owner) they messed up some stuff down there and i dint know if there is suppost to be anything else that supports it like some kind of clips?? Im wanting to buy a new one to fix the problem but there is no use if its like its suppost to be. Also, whats causing my car to smoke when you get on it hard? Ive heard valve seals do it, but it dint start until after gutting my cat. Would the problem go away if i replaced the cat? And if not what else could cause it and how do i fix it? The car has 69,xxx miles on it.
