Could I tell a difference?
Could I tell a difference?
If I put new performance spark plugs and spark plug wires on my...until I get the money to have my motor rebuilt like I want it. Or should I just buy a new air intake and what kind.
Oh yeah...does the air intake effect the sound of the exhaust. I just help my friend put a intake on his truck and it actually made it alittle louder. I was wondering becasue I just have a straight pipe in place of cat and a flowmaster catback. I dont wanna make it any louder.

Re: Could I tell a difference?
Unless you're current plugs and wires are complete garbage you will notice no difference with the "high performance" plugs/wires. Any gains would be very minimal- especially on a stock motor. Now if your wires are shot and the gapping is all screwed up on the plugs you will notice it runs better with "any" new plugs/wires.
You may "notice" a tiny increase in power with the intake though even that is debatable from what I've heard. It's normally the type of mod that works with other mods to provide a bigger synergistic gain. It could make things a little louder. More air entering the intake = more air out the exhaust system.
