I just purchased a 99(?) instrament cluster and it does not work? Are the 98 and 99 dashes wired the same? Would this

not sure if they are wired the same, but there are at least two differences that effect the gauges that are different in every year after 98.
-gas tank enlarged from 15.5 gal to 16.8 (may or may not effect wiring for gas gauge)
-water temp gauge is accurate in 1998, all following years are preset to 210 when warmed up.

Well, then you have an incompatiable cluster, unless you repin the dash harness.
Car-part.com shows that 98 is some unique year to where nothing else would just swap right in for whatever reason.

I was just about to go there and check too, wtf is up with all these year to year changes?? Geesus, is this a new 21st century "in" thing?????
