Cooling problem

I have a 95 camaro w/a 3.4L V6. I noticed the coolant level in the radiator was low so I filled it. After driving it to work and back, coolant was leaking from the from somwhere in the front of the engine (I think its the water pump). As the coolant level dropped in the radiator, the leak stopped. Car runs great, temperature never goes above 190. I am wondering if the radiator cap is bad and not letting the coolant overflow into the overflow reservior. If not allowed to overflow, would the expanding coolant leak out of the water pump until the pressure equalizes? Any help on this issue would be appreciated. I really don't want to have to tear out the water pump

Doesn't really work this way, but rad. caps are cheap. So buy anew one and then fill your rad. back up and get everything nice and hot, and find out where the leak is!!!

I'd pinpoint the leak, whether it be the water pump, a hose, or the radiator itself.
