Computer wipe?

Okay, i'll probably just take it to another shop and tell the mechanic to _specifically_ just replace the knock sensor with one for a 94 z28. This current shop is stubborn about replacing the entire computer.

Also, does it make sense when the mechanic said a wire is just hanging around that won't connect to the KS? And he wants to replace the entire computer to get a wire that will connect? Not that I'm going to stick with this guy, but does that even make sense or is he jerking my chain?

I thought the plugs were the same, but maybe they arent. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

But eiother way, you will be buying the correct sensor so it will plug in for sure.
