Cold Heater

Cold Heater

my heater blow out cold air when i turn it on. in the summer the a/c works fine and blows hard. but i n the winter when i turn on the heater it blows but just cold. do you have any idea what this could be?

First guess would be that you're low on water.

the water level is right. it's a 94Z with green anti-freeze. it blow out but it's just cold.

Flush the heater core. It's a common problem.

i just did mine last weekend. i pulled the hoses off at the firewall. using a sprayer on a garden hose i sprayed the line in the right first and then a shot on the line on the left.

Easy to flush if you pull the hoses off at the water pump. A garden hose flushed into one hose, then the other to clean it out. Keep the opti dry.

thats why i pulled them off at the firewall. very slim chance of getting the opti wet and easier to get to.

Oh, I think it is way easier to get to them at the water pump.
