Cold air intake for 02 z28

Cold air intake for 02 z28

I have a 2002 z28 and i want to get a cold air intake. Should i get a good ol K&N or is there another recommendation that would perform better then the name brand. Much thanks.

I got the cold air flo Pac package from SLP and i really like it. You have to do a little bit of cutting but other than that its good.

Don't bother with cold air -- just get an airbox lid. The incoming air on the stock airbox is drawn from in front of the radiator and is plenty cold.

Airbox lids make a big difference in the restrictiveness of the intake tract. They look like this:


Don't pay more than $100.

If you want to put a K&N filter in there to replace the paper one, go ahead.

I got my cold air intake kit on ebay for $50 bucks. It passes through the hole under where the factory air box sits. That SLP lid looks really nice though, wish I had seen it first. My kit has 2 elbows which probally slow the flow and aluminum tubes that do absorb heat.
