clutch problem

I have a 96 with an m6. After a new tranny mount (old one was shot) I now have "scruffing" when putting the car in gear cold and shifting. Especially bad after idling at a light. No problems in gear, just at release of the clutch in a given gear. No problem when the car is not running. Also not as bad at medium rpms vs shifting slow or at high rpms. Any ideas? TIA

Re: clutch problem

what kind of mount did you install?

the poly mounts will transfer alot more natural noise. making it sound like something is wrong.

and all mounts need to break in...so even a stock mount could be a little stiff for a while.

give it some time

Re: clutch problem

It was stock. But this is making getting into gear hard in some cases. When I start up reverse is especially fun. Sometimes if I put it in first at a light it makes the noise without the clutch released.

Re: clutch problem

hard getting into gear is not related to the mount...

check your fluid level

could be a case of coincidence that it happened when the mount was installed
