cluster problems aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, I was able to get a dash for cheap out of a 1997 camaro Z28. This is the problem I got every thing hooked up but the cluster, My 93 camaro does not have the same plug for the cluster this is a 120 speedo? From what I have read the wiring from a 93 should plug in to the 97 120 speedo. I also have the trans am 150 speedo out of a 97. What should I do? This upgrade on the dash was well worth it if I can get this problem figured out.

Re: cluster problems aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

You need a 97+ Camaro or 93+ T/A plug for the 97 Z28 cluster to work with your 93 wiring... You'll also have to remove the wires from your 93 plug and place them into the corresponding spots on the 97 plug shown in the link above... I did the swap a couple months ago and think the whole thing was well worth it too.

Re: cluster problems aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a drawing I did when I did my swap that might help... The top two drawings are the top and bottom of the LT1 gauge cluster plug... The bottom two are the top and bottom of the LS1 plug and what slots the wires go into... I used the link posted above for my reference... I didn't use a wire for the digital odometer since the cluster I got didn't have one.. So you'll need to look at the cardomain site to see where it goes.

Re: cluster problems aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks this is what I needed I have got every thing working great This upgrade was well worth it makes it feel like a completely diffrent car
The best thing of all I made money off of this up grade I got the dash for 35 dollars, and made it away with a slp duel duel exhaust for 40 dollars at PICK-A-PART and found the rest at my parts at my local junk yard for 46 dollars. Turned around and sold my old dash and the slp exhaust in pieces on ebay. My dash sold for 280 including the air bag , and the slp duel duel exhaust for 120 This I can not be upset about. Anyways thanks much for the help , sorry about posting in the wrong area
