Cleaning the K&N

How would i go about cleaning the k&n air filter its not a cold air just the regular filter

word of caution - do not over oil or allow excessive oil to remain on filter when you install it, oil vapor will collect on your MAF wires & cause driveability problems....

do not use the whole bottle of oil. it is good for about 3 or so cleanings. like stated above the oil will go through the filter and collect on the MAF. took me along time to figure out what the problem was. car stumbled in open loop. all it was was a dirty MAF from the oil

I don't know if this is good or bad but I've blasted mine with carb cleaner for years Still works fine.

just be very delicate and use alcohol and a Q-tip. just make sure not to damage the sensors or your problems will be more then just a dirty MAF
