Circuit Breaker

Alright I am a little confused on what circuit breaker I need for my IROC. I need to replace the circuit breaker for the power seat, rear defroster, power door locks. The service manuel I have for it say it is a 35 amp circuit breaker, but every where I go I am being told it is a 30 amp circuit breaker. The problem is I tried a 30 amp circuit breaker but it got so hot I could not touch it to remove it. Somebody help me out with this. It is a 87 IROC 5.7. Has the part about the circuit getting hot happen to anyone else besides me? If so please share. Thanks

Re: Circuit Breaker

I don't have any specific help for your 87, but I would think if the circuit breaker is getting to hot to touch you have a problem somewhere in the circuit. I'd be looking at the rest of the wiring in that circuit to find the source of the problem. The only thing that should get warm in that circuit is the rear defroster, not the wires to it.
Best of luck,
