not tough at all....just takes patience.

took me less than an hour to do all 4 of my lights on my old 96z.

now if you want to upgrade to higher than stock wattage bulbs (brighter) than you need to upgrade the wire harness.

there are a few available for under $50 and allow you to run 100w bulbs in the stock lights, compared to 55w stockers.

i've done it on my 99z and put in some Luks 100w bulbs and they are nice and bright. now the bulbs i got are not the "white" light ones, they have the stock-looking yellowish tint to them, but they are VERY bright. and for about $5 a bulb...they fit the budget at the time.

when one blows i'll probably swap to 100w "white" bulbs that Luks makes.

Do these replacements blind drivers coming at you?

I thought the actual upgrade gave the light beams a 'crisp' edge as opposed to just a bright light.

I'm intrigued.

i wouldn't say they make it more crisp...after all its the same "focusing lense"

the white light of the sylvania silverstars is kindda more crisp, but not any brighter.

if they are angled correctly..they don't blind anyone. afterall there are plenty of cars on the road that have the hyperwhite 100w bulbs factory.

the harness upgrade is worth it i think, cause you can run brighter bulbs, which illuminate the road better.

you can always run stock 55w bulbs in the low beams, and 100w in the highs. after all when you are on the dark roads with no other traffic, you don't have to worry about blinding the oncomin traffic. yet when you are in the city...its at stock brightness

Its not hard to do at all.
I run hyperwhites in my stock housings and I have also moved the low beams inside and the highs outside so at nite at least it looks different from other camaros.
If you get pulled over and they get the book out, putting the low beams inside is illegal but I have never had a problem.
