Hey my radio works just fine, but my cd player doesnt work.. i dont wanna put an aftermarket deck in. I have the Bose factory sub or what not in the back, iam just wondering if i can put in a newer camaro factory headunit, like the ones in the ls1, or out of any late model GM vechicle that fits? thanks!!

You can get your exisiting head unit repaired.

The CD mechanism is pretty easy to remove from the radio chasis, send it to an audio repair shop and for $50 they will overhaul it and send it back.

Mine didnt work in my car when I got it either. Pretty simple fix. I can give you the name of the shop that fixed mine if you want.

 

Hey thanks TracyZ, but iam most likely able to get a cheap headunit from a wrecker i know of, iam just wondering if those will be compatable.
