car wont start some times
ok well sometimes if i got to start my car it wont start. i dont get a click or anything. now if i let out the clutch and and push it back in most of the time it will start but today i had to do it 2 or 3 times. and it doesnt do it all the time. i changed the starter and battery with no luck.
Ya I wouldent say it was a batter if it does start. Check you battery connections, if they are even a bit loose this will happen. Also, I dont have a standard but I am pretty sure there is a safety switch that tells the car when the clutch is in or out. Check up on that.
Sounds like there is a microswitch connected to the clutch linkage (behind the pedal) that is acting up. I believe there is a switch that activates when you press in the clutch that acts like a safety switch so someone doesn't try to start the car without pressing in the clutch. The switch interrupts sending power to the starter until the PCM confirms the clutch is pressed in.
I don't have a 6-speed manual so I do not know this for certain.
